Horacio Rodríguez Larreta Defends Buenos Aires

Horacio Rodríguez Larreta criticizes the current leadership of the PRO and expresses his commitment to defending the city amid political turmoil. He questions whether he will run for office in the upcoming elections.

Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, former head of the City Government, has expressed his disagreement with the current direction of the PRO and has highlighted that he remains affiliated with the party despite the discrepancies. He believes that the PRO has strayed from its original values due to its alignment with a Government that, in his opinion, does not defend the public.

Rodríguez Larreta has voiced his concern about the ideological distance he perceives in the PRO today, referring to the lack of a constructive and respectful opposition. He criticizes the tendency toward messianic leadership and the loss of diversity and respect for differing opinions within the party.

In this regard, the former official has rejected the possibility of forming a common list with the radical sector of Martín Lousteau or the Civic Coalition of Elisa Carrió, as he considers that what is most relevant for him is to remain true to his principles and values, above political alliances. He emphasizes the importance of defending identity and respect within the organization.

Regarding his return to politics, Rodríguez Larreta states that his goal is to defend the city and affirms that he could do this both from the City legislature and from the National Congress. He acknowledges that the defeat in the 2023 primaries was a tough blow but emphasizes his commitment to the citizens and the need to improve current management in areas such as cleanliness, security, and urban infrastructure.
